This year we will be using the “Poolionaire” format, back by popular demand. This is a singles tournament for any active captains or co-captains. In the “Poolionaire” format, as you advance in the money rounds, you to decide at each step whether to take the money you’ve earned so far and drop out, or risk it all and continue. The winner’s side is 8-Ball with your current skill level, the loser’s side is 9-Ball and everyone plays as a 2. There will be a safe level and you get three lifelines each round. The safe level is where you are guaranteed to leave with at least $10, no matter how you finish after that. 

Your lifelines will be:

Ask A Friend: You get a timeout from anyone in the room on one shot

Use A Friend: You may have anyone in the room shoot one shot for you

Pass: You may pass your turn to your opponent without penalty
